\"no<\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row header_feature=”yes”][vc_column width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text]A successful bioremediation approach modulates the interaction between the microbial populations in the matrix and the pollutants. \u00a0A large number of \u00a0variables present in the matrix, such as, for example, microorganism populations, oxygen content, pH, metabolic nutrients and inhibitors, must be orchestrated in order to temporarily direct the ecosystem toward the degradation of the toxic chemical. <\/span><\/p>\n

All site characteristics \u00a0and every possible variable must be taken into account \u00a0and the laboratory is the first place where we collect and analyze information with a series of controlled experiments called biotreatability studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

A first biotreatability \u00a0study is often required by the regulatory agencies to evaluate the proposed method at an early stage of the remediation plan approval .\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”color” bg_color=”#ededed” padding_top=”60″ padding_bottom=”32″][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”MICROCOSM TEST” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23333333″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Data collection is carried out in an artificial environment that simulates the natural ecosystem of the polluted area (microcosm). \u00a0We have a microbiological laboratory<\/strong> specifically equipped for this purpose. We use strict laboratory protocols to ensure precision and reproducibility<\/strong> of the experiments, as natural matrices are complex and unstable systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tests can be carried out in solid phase, slurry or aqueous phase<\/strong>, under aerobic or anaerobic conditions<\/strong>, depending on the site and the client requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
